A day in Helsinki
Today I traveled to Helsinki by train. First I visited Leena Luostarinen's retrospective exhibition in Taidehalli which I enjoyed a lot. I went to see how Kamppi Chapel looked from the inside, I did some shopping and got the evening dress after some modifications.
By accident I happened to see local penkkariajelut = benchpressing fest parade. So far I have only see parade in Tampere so it was really nice to see Helsinki way. Students were really noisy and bursting happiness and I almost cried a bit -- those young people have all their adult life ahead of them, all doors and possibilities open...some will succeed and some will not... and it's only 2 years when our Leevi will be one of the students in a lorry.
I ate at Putte's and saw Jörn Donner's interview in Akateeminen kirjakauppa. (Jorma U. and Aira S. had seats in a front row). At 18:00 when I stepped to a train I was exhausted. I was so happy that J, E and Sami picked me up from the Tampere railway station. J had a surprise Valentine Day present for me, consert tickets <3. Actually Valentine's Day in Finland is Friendship Day which I strongly protest!! Why they have changed the idea?? Anyway, hopefully you all have enjoyed Friendship Day and Valentine's Day!
