Hollyhocks, Sonning-On-Thames

It was a gorgeous sunny Sunday afternoon and I spent it walking along the river with a friend. We walked from Sonning towards Reading and then back again, taking time to sit on a bench in the meadows at Thames Valley Park. See Extra photo for more scenes around Sonning and the river. We saw a lot MORE boats as we sat, from kayaks to yachts! It was a beautiful day to be on the river.

Even though this probably should have been a boat blip, I liked this hollyhock and cottage window the best. I do love Sonning - but I think of it as the prettiest little village I’d never want to live in! Too many cars everywhere!
