Happy nearly-birthday

Interesting day.

First, I had a job interview for my current job (to get a substantive post, rather than the temporary contracts I got hurriedly bustled into before the post was actually available).

Second, when I went back to my community team for the afternoon, they surprised me with cakes - since I’m on leave for my birthday next week. It's the first time - in almost a quarter century of working - that any of my various teams have done that. I have a great team, great job.
