Chuffed to see this bush thriving. We trusted internet advice and cut down a bush that had not been pruned  for years to a 9" stump. My neighbour was horrified and was sure we had killed it. But no, it's very healthy with lots of long branches with these pretty leaves. If only I could remember what she said it was called.
Its rained all day. Spend the morning in Kendal visiting several shops and dropping off charity donations. For the first time I wore a face mask the whole time. I could not be bothered to take it off and put it on again, repeatedly. It's alarming when you see your reflection in a shop window.  We all look like bank robbers.  The women in France who wanted to wear yashmaks while the government tried to make it illegal , have had the last laugh
