Fighting Frost.....

There was a heavy frost in Marlborough early today. Apparently wind machines galore started up around 2.am. I have been told there were 100 helicopters flying above vineyards in Marlborough for hours until after dawn. Maisie and I started walking in the dark along a stop-bank adjacent to a vineyard. It was like being in a war zone. One big chopper flew towards us with dazzling headlights and loud engine noise. It is hoped that their hovering for hours have helped save the vines from the ravages of frost.
