Alstroemeria

Took this to show how pretty and good value these flowers are. They are cheap for a bunch, don't look anything special when you buy them because they are closed but over the weeks they open and reveal themselves.

This one came from a bunch I'd just reworked, picking out the dead ones, cutting the stalks to get the last life out of them but this one had broken just below the flowers. The head, as you can see, was in good condition with a good bunch of flowers on it so it popped it in this little vase.

It really shows of the delicacy of the flower and in particular the colour of this one.

Before that I'd walked in the garden and got a dose of vitamin D and was about to have a hot chocolate. Not a hard life.....
