Sunset silhouettes.....
Another busy one today .
Set the dryer going at 5.45 and by the time I’d been round and fed cattle it was ready to empty again. Sent Kev next door with the trailer of dried barley while I went across to help wee brother bring in a cow that had calved during the night. Unfortunately the muckle big blonde x calf was dead.
Back home then headed down the road with a trailer load of gates, Ross and Kev.
Things went more or less to plan , despite one heifer not wanting to follow the rest out the gate. Thankfully my old collie worked her magic and we got it out before the rest came back through.
3 trailer loads home, 13 Hereford x bulling heifers vaccinated and into the field next to the farm until their booster in 3-4 weeks time. Kept the limousin x ones in a shed as hope to sell them.
Passed these turbines as the sun was setting tonight. It’s been a grand spell of weather recently , although the weather forecast says that’s all going to change tomorrow. We shall see.
