Big Red Barn
We ordered a couple of sofas for a student flat in Glasgow several months ago. The room-of-choice service has been reduced by Covid to dump-it-at-the-door.
The three hour delivery window makes it impossible to find someone to take delivery. Plus the students are sheltering so the management company contractors refuse to go into the flat.
So, Angus and I went head to Glasgow in the dark. It reminds me of commuting, and how unpleasant that was.
Unlike work, we’re finished by 10:30 and head home, stopping for a celebratory lunch at the red barn, which I’ve passed hundreds of times, but never visited. We eat steak sandwiches, sitting outdoors in the sun and then take a walk in the woods.
