War of the Worlds
A bit of an iffy night sleep wise, but heyho!
Builders began hammering just before 8.30 so not too early.
Today the car was booked in for a service, so we planned our day around that.....dropped it off for 10.45. We decided to spend our time shopping at Middlebrook and to treat ourselves to lunch out. What we failed to realise was that Horwich is classed as part of Bolton, which has stricter lockdown rules just now, i.e. eateries open for take aways or drive thru only....so we were on our feet wandering around the shops, drinking/eating our take out coffee & toasted sandwich on the car park (very classy us!!) for 4 hours until we got the call to say the car was ready :-/
Shopping was a success though, got the first of my "X" presents (shhhh!!), oh and a new jumper, checked when my phone is due its upgrade, looked for a new chair for the office, found 3/4 that we quite like.
I didnt want to take my camera and leave it in the car whilst it was in thr garage, nor did I want to carry it around whilst shopping, so made do with this image of Bolton Wanderers ground, which was rather blown out as it was so sunny......hence my inverted image which reminds me of the film "War of the Worlds" ;-)
Back home, feet up with a brew for half an hour first and foremost.
Hub fancied pizza for his tea, so I made myself a salmon & blackbean vegetable stir fry with noodles, which was yummy.
Today didn't turn out as hoped, but what can you do other than get on with whats thrown at you!
Take care & stay safe all
