RAILWAY PAST

In times gone by . . . Hornsea had two Railway Stations. . . . Hornsea Central and Hornsea Bridge.
This shows a triptych . . . from left to right . . .a historical view of the railway bridge by Hornsea Bridge Station. Middle image shows the site today, the bridge went right over that roundabout. The final image is taken of the roof of a very long terrace by the side of the platform.
I have it on very good authority . . . namely my grand friend M . . . that all the kids on the train would jump up and down with excitement as the train stopped at this station . . . to see that cat on the roof !
Needless to say it is still there today even if the station is long gone.
