Rex and Poppy

I had a busy morning cooking and freezing more apples. Then, as it was a gorgeous warm day I decided I’d walk over to the other side of the valley to drop a card and present for a young friend Sarah, who is going to be 50. She had so many plans for celebrations but they’ll all be cancelled now.

On the way past Chris‘s she came out to put stuff in her car for her trip over to Stockport to see her son and family. She thinks we might be confined to the area soon. She asked me to her garden for a coffee - from midnight this will be illegal. It was lovely to catch up and see the dogs. Rex, Poppy’s puppy, has grown so much.

It’s not just me who is confused about what’s the new laws, as opposed to what is not advisory. A Government minister admitted on Today she didn’t know. Then BoCum, aka the current PM; when asked to clarify, blustered on about the rule of 6 which hadn’t been allowed here for 10 days. My understanding, but like the Government, I’m not sure, is that while we can’t meet anyone in our house or garden, we can meet in the pub garden.
