A tiny speck of red in a green world
I had to choose this one today as we have a red theme ongoing for our next ISSU photobook. I took lots of photos (many more than intended as I had it on continuous fire accidentally). This one was taken on the edge of Mill Moor wood, just as I reached the stile. It’s been a lovely day and the walk was a bit of a struggle (I’d been awake since 3.30am) but I made it to the top.
Lunch with my brother at The Travellers - the first time we’ve been without Ann. It was almost empty in the restaurant end, which suited us.
I’ve not done much this afternoon - downloaded a few more Alaska photos of Denali NP that were sitting on a portable Epson Drive which has a small viewing screen - I finally found the cable that plugs into it.
A half hour with my eyes closed in the chair - did I sleep, well I’d say not, but I’m feeling a bit perkier now. And I’ve lit the fire as it was feeling chilly. This new smokeless coal is burning in a very peculiar way - it ends as powder, which is a nuisance, but there was still some warmth from last night, which meant it was very easy to light.
p.s. I’ve two images from earlier this week which I need to find and post.
pps - (as an aid my memory) Jon rang to say he hadn’t received the form I’d posted him about Ann’s Premium Bonds - I wonder what happened to that. Looks like I’ll need to start again.
