Not shipshape

Young S joined our club over the summer and is very much still learning - he got a boat for a bargain (there’s an oxymoron all right), and we helped him get his mast off. Unfortunately one of the bolts securing it wouldn’t come undone easily and the fixture at the foot of the mast sheared off. He said it was cracked anyway and seemed hugely untroubled. And then he left his boat behind mine and headed back to Dumfries. Unfortunately it’s got quite a leak as well; I had a poke about down below to see where exactly it was coming from. I’ll keep an eye on it - hopefully it’ll last until lift out.... 
What else? An evening of curated viewing by the SK, and a top effort. I’ll need to raise my game a bit. Talking of games - God of War is now finished *spoiler alert* with the defeat of Baldur, the Norse Aesir God of Light and the main antagonist of Krasos (me!). The son of Odin and Freya, half-brother of Thor and Týr, and the half-uncle of Magni and Modi ! Phew.
