Late Bloomer

This poor hollyhock plant sits in our front garden. It hardly grew and never flowered in the last months. The weather was so dry and hot, and hollyhocks are quite greedy - they need a lot of sun, but also plenty of nutrients and water.

Now after we finally got some rain, it woke up and started to blossom. It won't grow to its usual height anymore, but I'm happy to see it come alive at last.
