Apple Sponge

Was cooking up a storm in the kitchen tonight. Our dinner, (except for the rice and cheese) was all home grown. I roasted the squash this morning in preparation of making squash risotto. Also had onions and leeks. Was served along with carrot (oh, that was shop bought), kohlrabi and beetroot slaw.

The sponge above had apples picked yesterday at my friend's allotment. It was a good sponge.

Also made banana bread and chick pea stew with kale for tomorrow's tea.

Lovely cycle out to Dalkeith with friend and AP board member.

Family zoom quiz tonight too - done monthly now, not weekly and a lovely, lively thing.

Kitchen not a complete bomb site!
