Courage and determination

M and I drove to just short of the Bernina pass this morning. Well wrapped up to face the windchill and cold temperatures, we walked beside three lakes, taking in the beauty of the snow enhanced mountain features in this glorious landscape. One walker past by, as did the bernina express trains, but otherwise we had it to ourselves. As M said, it was a privilege to be there and it gave him the energy and grit to do the walk on mixed terrain.
