A day out
With the weather set fair, Andrew and I decided we would get out for the day. A trip across the water added to the sense of freedom, even if the nuclear sub passing by didn't... (see extras).
We went to the Benmore botanic gardens near Dunoon, good to get out into the fresh air. They have a lot of conifers and rhododendrons and everywhere was very green with loss and ferns, but it was hard to get good photos of the huge trees. If you look very closely in the main photo, you can see a wee red squirrel. It was too fast and too far away to get any decent photos, but it was lovely to see it.
