Hare & Hedgehog

We had a drive into Cirencester today for a walk around the Abbey Grounds. I'm not sure how many of these hares are left around the town. I think there were 25 large ones like this originally, and lots more smaller ones which were auctioned off.

We also saw a hedgehog (extra). He was part of a large series of mosaic panels made by schools in 2018 to commemorate the 900th anniversary of the founding of the abbey. Only the 12th century gatehouse now remains. The hedgehog seemed to be the most popular panel by the way, no surprise there. Everyone loves a hedgehog.
