Fire And A Continuous Line Drawing
Today has been rather sunny and calm, although the temperature at sunrise was hovering near zero.
After breakfast, I took the lawn mower for a walk. I think a new cutter blade may be in order.
Today’s Blipfoto shows the effect of the sunrise through the original glass which is anything but optically flat. Well it was cast around 1841.
The wall is finished in the original paint colours which was revealed after careful removal of several coats of various shades of magnolia.
"Modern" paints applied to the original lime plaster is not very smart, as the wall could not breathe and allow moisture to disperse.
Following on from yesterday’s entry, and after reading the Wikipedia link, I asked Alexa to play music by Vashti Bunyan. I think all of her oeuvre is available.
The extra is a continuous line portrait of yours truly by Leif Lewis when he was 5. Leif is Vashti’s son.
Pat was looking after Leif and taught him this technique which involves looking at the subject continuously and moving the pencil without looking at the paper.
Interesting.
And now to watch the highlights of the Russia Grand Prix. I know the result but that will not detract from my interest.
