Not Gilbert White but snowdrops

Just don't know what pics I'll be able to take this weekend, so as the sun was out I rushed off in between 2 pieces of work to make amends for last Sunday. Obviously I didn't get to Gilbert White's House - well too far for a lunch hour - but I do know that just the other side of the village of Itchen Abbas there's a boggy bit of ground by the road and under poplar trees, which gets smothered in snowdrops this time of year.

So here are a few of them. Candlemas Bells was their older name. I rather love that they have little specks of dirt on the petals and so don't look too perfect - just getting on with life! It's what we all do, after all.
