A Significant Weather Event

... was the warning.  It poured during the night and snowed in the mountains, poured during the morning and blew a gale.  A respite from the rain in the afternoon but not the wind and it’s meant to do it all again tonight and tomorrow.  In fact they are closing the Crown Range tonight due to the forecast snowfall.  Managed a shorter walk than usual around midday or so.
