Surprise Visitors

My neice and her boyfriend stopped in for a visit on their very long drive up from Texas. We were delighted to enjoy their company and they ended up staying for dinner. Her boyfriend even gave our grandson a chess lesson. After dinner, they let me take their photo. I never seemed to get the lighting correct and struggled with the shadows. I didn't want to inconvenience them too much, so I didn't try very hard. I think the lesson I learned is that I need to practice a lighting set up and maybe write down some notes as to what settings I used.
