Flu away

I officially became elderly today. My wife and I joined the queue for the drive in flu clinic which opened for us for the first time today. From joining the queue to leaving after our 10 minute rest after the jab in case there was any reaction: 40 minutes in total. All very organised and efficient.

The elderly bit came when I revealed that in a few days time I turn 65. “Oh in that case we’ll give you a different one to your wife”. When we compared the literature handed out about the flu vaccine mine was for the elderly: 65 and above.

At least flu done and hopefully stays away.

This morning I was picking apples from a friend’s garden (at their suggestion!) and I was closely watched by this robin especially when I picked up the windfalls. I was able to get quite close before it flew away. Another view in extra.

A lovely walk on Blackford Hill in the mid-afternoon. Out of the chill wind the sunshine was lovely. As were the views as ever.
