Hyde Hall on a cold day.
After yesterday's visit called off we decided to try today as it was thought that the forecast seemed a little more hopeful - we was wrong! It was REALLY cold. Felt like that so called "Beast from the East". To be fair it did not rain though. The site sits high (for Essex that is) and really catches the wind - lovely on one of those really hot days. Not many visitors which is why I have chosen this view of the house rarely seen without people milling around and it shows how dull and cold it was. However, dull is good for flowers and so a couple of extras some which make it look like a Summer's day.
