Farewell

Out across town to where the much loved car is parked up. We remove the de-icer, screen wash and some obsolete fivers from the interior. And then a tearful farewell. When you’ve had a car for twenty odd years there’s a lot of memories bound up in there. A tiny child on her booster seat. Grannies and Grandpas no longer with us. Quite a wrench, which no amount of working air conditioning and doors locks in a new car will fully offset.

What else? A joint statement on coronavirus (COVID-19) from the UK Government, the Northern Ireland Executive, the Scottish Government, and the Welsh Government wings its way across the ether. “We therefore reaffirm our shared commitment to suppressing the virus to the lowest possible level and keeping it there, while we strive to return life to as normal as possible.”
But what’s Ms Sturgeon’s take on it?  "When I talk about suppressing to the lowest possible level, that is elimination. We have used the term suppressing to the lowest level in the four-nations agreement because not all governments wanted to use the term elimination. But when I say 'suppress to the lowest possible level' I mean eliminate.”
I suspect we may all need to be involved in this if it is to be achieved.
