Golden Light
Day 186 of COVID-19 UK opening up and partial locking down again!
A late morning short walk with Mrs BB around the village of Staunton, South Gloucestershire, that we haven't done for a couple of years. Althugh a little chilly, the sun was out and it was great to see it breaking through the tree canopy as my blipfoto shows.
We headed into Monmouth for Mrs BB to get a refund on a pair of shoes she'd bought last week and only worn twice. The sole on one had totally come off. Although only £14.99 the shop owner was reluctant to give a refund saying they were in the sale and no one else had complained!
I watched Cardiff City on tv suffer a second home defeat in their third match of the season. It looks like spectators won't be allowed back in grounds until at least next year. I read of many clubs in many sports going 'bust' - casualties of COVID.
We're off to our local pub tonight to celebrate our neighbours birthday. We can take our masks off at the table and last orders are 9.30pm. Just as well as we are up early to visit my uncle in Somerset.
