Autumn Crocuses

These lovely colchium flowers are enjoying the spell of sunny weather .... a day of bad weather and they would be flattened. The flowers are almost head heavy on a rather slender, bendy stem.

The hoverflies were enjoying a quick feed before they headed off in search of another feeding station.

A good walk this morning followed by a very lazy afternoon ..... guess that is going to be the pattern for the coming months as we start to see the light deminishing in the afternoons.
