Snippet
I dreamt I was in Malawi, where I have only been once for a period in 2007. At least it shares a border with Mozambique, which is where I’m supposed to be. There are glimmers of hope on the travel horizon as Mozambique should be welcoming more flights and issuing visas again in October. I’m waiting for more official word on this.
I walked to the office as my bike has a slow puncture and my back doesn’t appreciate the jarring over every bump before 9am. I picked up a coffee en route at an Italian place that was crooning out That’s Amore as I waited. It felt very...authentic.
I’m feeling exhausted by a reporting deadline this week. I’m grateful to have Michelle working closely with me on it, as well as another colleague in the US who has skilfully scored us an extension of a few days.
