daisy's belated birthday present is going down very well, although it's only when you're watching it with the kids that you realise how sweary father ted is...they are under strict instruction not to repeat the swearies, but daisy has watched so much of it today, if she doesn't tell someone to feck off tomorrow at school, I'll be amazed. bad parenting? maybe - but when she's accepting her bafta for best screenplay I'm sure it will be partly because she was inspired by some quality telly when she was wee.

saw impossible tonight...it was a bit harrowing. I'm not sure it's entirely necessary to make films about real life disasters like this - although I'm not sure.
