Goodness gracious great ball of fire

At the last minute my morning with Tiago was cancelled due to the crazy weather and high speed winds. Where he is is quite a wooded area, so not great to walk around in weather like we had today. The island has been on orange alert. It actually worked out well in the end as I stationed myself in the corner of a cafe (not Nude as it's in the lockdown zone!) and finally got around to writing an update about life and work here. 
Tonight we went to the salt flats to watch the sunset - it would have been perfection except for the crazy amount of mosquitoes - they were even landing on our eyelashes!!!! And that was having tea treed ourselves! But it was still absolutely gorgeous. 

Today I'm grateful for;
1) The gift of an unexpected morning.
2) A gorgeous fruit and veg order from the local green grocers.
3) This stunning view - everyone dotted about the rocks clapped and cheered as it dipped below the horizon.
