Fannyside

A couple of days late, but hey ho...

Wednesday was another one of these days which dragged along, as a few have done this week. Spent a fair bit of it realising that most of these price comparison websites that one sees advertised on TV produce much the same list of insurers in much the same order and with much the same price quotes as each other. One takes one's choice...

I took the best (not necessarily the cheapest) quote and then booked direct with the company, rather than the aggregator, as I didn't really need or want a cuddly meerkat toy.

Meanwhile, while I was losing the will to live by repeatedly entering numerous details onto various price comparison websites, the gas engineer arrived to carry out my annual boiler and central heating service. Thankfully, that was quick and painless and I'm all set (hopefully) for autumn and winter.

No walk for me on Wednesday, then, but I did drive over to Cumbernauld and up to Fannyside Loch. Turned out that there was a fairly good sunset on the way, so a nondescript day (sorry, I have actually just described it, but we'll gloss over that fact) ended on a relatively high note.

Thursday is another day, and possibly a significant one. We'll see.
