Crenellations at Alnwick Castle

Wandering around Alnwick this morning, it really is an impressive castle, this is not the best view but I like all the statues up there. Used as a stand in for Hogwarts in the Harry Potter films I couldn’t help but be transported back to some of the scenes shot there and remembering the excitement of the new books and films coming out. I think my kids were very lucky to have been the perfect age at that time. They grew up waiting each year for the next part of this wonderful fantasy to unfold. Thank you J.K.Rowling!
