The Face of Fertility

A friend gave this to me. It is supposedly a tribal fertility symbol, but can be used to protect sick children or children still in the womb. He bought it from a dealer in antiques, though I often contemplate the symbols on the cheeks--a key and a flag. My friend was a little put off that I chose the female version over the male version...
