On a Blustery Day

What are they up to?
Choppy water and high wind
Certainly not fun!

It made me very curious to know why two boats would be out on the river today. The wind out of the west was howling through the trees. It could not be a pleasant excursion at all. I suspect they could be from the Ministry of Fisheries/Oceans. The Thompson River should have some sockeye salmon in it right now. They would be returning from the Pacific Ocean to spawn. It is truly an epic journey.

This location is known as Vantage Point. I've enjoyed plein air painting here. Looking east one sees the edge of the city and my beautiful mountains. The docking is for sea planes.
