Posy

The stems are short, the vase is small:
they wouldn't suit a spacious hall,
but on a cottage window-sill
their vivid colour warms the chill

... as do the socks that I'm wearing today for the first time in months. There was definitely a cold touch to the air today, especially each time it rained sharp showers in between short sunny spells.

The original photo of my posy is an Extra. I played with the image adding bas relief, a slight distortion, and a red spotlight for this week's Abstract Thursday challenge to emphasise the theme 'light and shadows'. Thanks to Ingeborg for hosting the challenge.
