what's my name?

I used to know this handsome bird as a Western Scrub-jay. Now I've learned that the scientists have divided these birds into two species, the California Scrub-jay and the Woodhouse's Scrub-jay. Since I do not live in California, I assumed this must be a Woodhouse's. But then I remembered that I should never assume anything (because that can make an "ass out of u and me"!)  So I looked up the differences between the two species. And yes, this is a Woodhouse's because it is lacking a bright blue patch on the chest, and the bib is whiter than the underparts.
