Interesting trips yesterday. Called up first ship, he answers at second caling, tell him we have 6 people going onboard and 5 pallets and a large bag.
Ok, he says, port side....what crane, what ladder, all sorted.
What is your ETA?....We're here, next to you
Then he asks who the people are.... 2 crew, 4 technicians. What are the crews rank ..... one engineer, one third mate. Nope he says, not expecting anyone....sure you have right ship? Yes....you are Seaways Kilimanjaro? Its on the pallets and personnel adament they are coming to you.
Bearing in mind we have called his name a dozen times on the radio at start if every message and when had to repeat them.
No ....Im Elandra Kilimanjaro ....so why did you answer when we clearly we asked for Seaways Kilimanjaro?
Don't know....just need to call again
Called again and right ship that we were next to answered......jeezo
Whats the chances 2 ships called Kilimanjaro on same river within 1/2 a mile of each other....

Second trip although unloading on the move went ticketyboo....

Late/early finish.....lived the silhouette of Inchkeith in passing. Do you think I could get it as the lighthouse flashed.....naw.
