chatting with the monks om Mandalay hill

In the evening of the 15th we took the overnight bus to Mandalay north of Yangon. We arrived early in the morning and luckily found a room in a guesthouse that was open very early. We had a look around Mandalay palace and climbed Mandalay hill. On top of the hill was a monastery where we enjoyed a beautiful sunset. There were some monks at the monastery who were interested in the stories of the foreigners and the other way around. It was a happy get together.
