For the sake of a nut...

.... the battle was nearly lost. The connection between the teleflex wire and the engine throttle parted at the worst moment. Limped to the bank, after a quarter of an hour of swearing and crawling in the engine bay the offending nut was found.
This mobile phone tower was being raised next to us at the time.
