Beam Aqueduct

Took a drive out to the Puffing Billy below Great Torrington, to take a stroll along the Tarka Trail, which is  the old railway line. Went a bit further than normal, which took me past this Beam Aqueduct. The history goes back to 1824- 27 when it was built to carry the Rolle Canal over the river Torridge. See extra.
