A wet day on't canal
I woke up early to the sound of rain battering on the top of the boat. After a few minutes of waking I remembered that my friend Alison (Blipper Greengirl) had slipped and broken her hip yesterday. She is such an active person and loves and lives life to the full.
Only a few weeks ago her daughter suffered a broken ankle and cuts and bruises due to being knocked off her bike. I was amazed that amidst all the trauma and pain Alison still did her blip of the paramedics on the beach around her! Now that's a dedicated blipper!
Frank brought me a coffee at about 7am and I read my book till 8.30!
I watched the news...(why?!!!) Whilst eating breakfast.
Frank took Bella walkies - both in their rain jackets - it saves her coming back in soaked and steaming everywhere up.
I have spent the morning by turns knitting and reading. I found this lovely little poetry book in Oxfam and I love it. The poems are by various poets - some known to me and some not.
Bella May hates being shut indoors when it rains so I've rigged up the big umbrella on the back deck so she can sit out there and watch the world go by to her heart's content. (Extra)
Time for another cuppa!
Thanks for all the comments, stars and faves.
