Here we go again . . .
Stairlift playing up again. Yesterday evening Mrs W complained that the stairlift was going upstairs all by itself.
Inspection early this morning showed that a lug had broken on the ‘paddle’ that operates the chair control switch, so it wasn’t ‘self returning’ to the neutral position.
I found the spare part very easily - must be a common fault! However at £26 delivered it’s worth a shot at repair, which of course is far more satisfying anyway. So out with the epoxy resin. Time now needed for it to cure, then trim off the excess bits, then fingers crossed. Until then Mrs W has to sit on the lift holding the remote to get her up and down.
Technical bits: Yesterday’s macro and both shots today were taken using my SRB Close-up lenses. The main shot today was using the +4, while today’s inset and yesterday’s shot using the +10. Much easier than messing about with extension tubes, and image excellent. Camera lens the RF24-105mm F4 L IS USM.
Fish delivery today so need to get prepared. Freezer space required.
