a lifetime burning

Choices

After taking his shot Will had some difficult decisions to make.  He's not a great cheese fan yet (cut him some slack he's still young) so the decision fell down to refreshment at the cafe or the pub.  The extra shows which way the decision ultimately went.

It is Will's birthday on Thursday so it was nice to be able to have a little early celebration.

No doubt you are wondering what Will was looking at?  Here it is.

When we set off to climb the local Roundhill this morning the sun was shining and there was barely a cloud in the sky.  Indeed there were some complaints about the warmth from those with backpacks.  How that was all to change.  As we climbed the hill we realised that we were racing the clouds to the top. As you can see the clouds won that one.  The temperature started to fall and by the time that we got home we were racing the drizzle that wasn't forecast on the BBC weather app.

In the meantime Boris has decided that (despite all the dire warnings from the scientists who he rolled out yesterday) we don't need to change that current restrictions much to combat the increasingly obvious second wave, as long as pubs and restaurants shut at 10pm.  After all, we all know that (rather like Cindarella's carriage changes back into a pumpkin after midnight) Coronavirus changes into something much more virulent at the stroke of 10pm.  I think we can be reasonably certain that he will be revisiting this one in about another 2 weeks, to fall into line with the decisions taken in Scotland and Norther Ireland.
