War Memorial

No sunshine this afternoon on our walk through West End Park, Halifax, although it was very mild and pleasant - and we almost had the park to ourselves.   This war memorial is dedicated to the 73 soldiers from Halifax and district who fell in the Boer Wars (1899 - 1902).  It's one of only two of this design in the world - the other is in Hobart, Australia.
