Bromeliad

Occasionally blipped for the leaves this is the first flower, delighted, thank you John for taking the photo.

We bought the original plant from Ikea about five years ago,*. later it developed four pups all of which are still looking good in pots,

Five years ago we were in NZ and Australia, when staying in the Blue Mountains we spent a day in the wonderful botanical gardens, even now I think they are the best gardens ever. Anyway when buying the entry ticket the seller was very excited about a special bromeliad in flower, apparently quite a rarity, it was a beauty, since posted in extra.
