High Locks - Backblip
At Deeping st. James. My #2 daughter and the wee dog, Nellie, came to visit us today and we had a good mooch round the village and lunch outside in the garden of The Bell pub. Another lovely sunny day and in the evening we took a walk alongside the River Welland and out on to the public footpath.
My blip is looking towards the stunning stone bridge which links Deeping st.James to Deeping Gate, constructed in 1651 and was designed to allow horse drawn carts to cross the river in the days when the Welland was a busy trading route .
Extra: It's our last night at our super campsite. Sitting outside 'Matilda' with a glass of wine watching the sun go down....... one of life's little pleasures.
