Campfire Cooking is back
Made the most of the beautiful early morning sunshine today to cycle to MBS for our first Campfire Cooking session of the term. I’m so glad that some schools are still making activities like this available to their students. I think it’s worth the additional risk assessments to give the young people a sense of normality. We’ve got a group of year 9 lads who are very much on the edge of being excluded. We had a great time and they were really good fun, if a little inappropriate at times.
I stayed at school to do some filming for them but was totally embarrassed to be filming the Headteacher in his office when I absolutely stunk of smoke from the fire.
Popped in at the URC en route back to the office and had a timely conversation with Rev. Carole about an exciting opportunity for us. One of those times where everything seems to just come together.
Becci and Ellie went off to do some filming this afternoon while I tried to crack on with work but I got lured out to get coffee and cake to see me through the rest of the afternoon.
I’ve got a line manager week next week where I get to sit B&E down and tell them how absolutely awesome they are and how brilliant they make my job. Dreamy.
