Still summer (just)!

This small tortoiseshell was soaking up a few rays of sunshine this morning when it was still technically summer as the Autumn Equinox was just after lunch.  We still have slightly longer days than nights, in a few days time when we have the Equilux then the nights will really draw in fast.
