Watch out

I remember leaving my two Casio watches on the bedside table.
I came into the bedroom to see only one.
I looked in my trouser pockets.
I looked in the bathroom.
I looked in the kitchen.
I asked B if she’d seen my other watch.
Then I looked at my wrist and there it was.
