Labelling
At church we reached a new stage at the weekend in our search for a new Minister. Our sole nominee has been identified - The Revd Dr Sandy Forsyth - and arrangements are in place for him to preach at the start of October.
Due to Covid-19 we cannot have more than around 42 members of the congregation present so we are having to record the service and get it out to all members on the congregational electoral roll so they can vote, including those who are not online. Once a vote is confirmed in support of the sole nominee then the new Minister gets inducted some weeks later.
The normal practice of the congregation listening to the service then voting Immediately afterwards has to be done differently and a vote will not be declared for over a week.
So today was sorting out just shy of 480 letters, with all the necessary instructions and return envelopes and unique reference numbers. Then sorting them into piles for distribution. There are some we will need to post but we hope to rely on our volunteers to help with the main distribution.
It takes quite a while. It looked to be a nice day outside.
